Becca and Devon are tired, parched, and running strictly on adrenaline. But that's ok, leaky brains or not, the show must go on! Even if Poe and Finn are now, Pinn and Foe. No matter, it's time to talk about The Rise of Skywalker!
Ok, who's ready for Star Wars Celebration? Come on, raise those hands. Yes, you there, in the back, get those hands up! Seriously, there's a lot to mull over and plan and lastly, pack! Anyway, that said, Kanata's Castle is getting ready to punch-it and lightspeed their way to Chicago for the biggest party in the galaxy far, far away. But first, it's time to talk Star Wars and sip an ice-cold Fuzzy Tauntaun.
So what is it about Star Wars that helps ease the doldrums of everyday life? Is it the grand scoring of John Williams? The self-empowerment of Princess Leia or the escape within Luke's Hero's Journey? Whomever or whatever you connect with, make no mistake, Star Wars is remarkably therapeutic in a unique way. In other words, it consoles each of us, in a way that's individually our own. Star Wars, like Kanata's Castle, is for Everyone!
In this episode, Becca and Devon chew-the-fat on all the latest Star Wars news and updates. Yes, the entire show is none other than a spew of Star Wars goodness. Ok, so, perhaps "spew" isn't that pleasant of a word, but in this case, it's meant to be fun. So, go with it and trust your hosts. Kanata's Castle is about to get way too extra! Again.

Becca and Devon are back from their hiatus, and they're ready to get back to "doing talking." Star Wars talking. As always, they go over the most recent and relevant Star Wars news and then talk a bit more about what's coming to Star Wars Celebration Chicago. Afterward, they dive-in at lightspeed and travel down memory lane as they reminisce over the past 49 episodes and two years at Kanata's Castle.
Star Wars Celebration is less than 90 days away, and Becca and Devon are a bit overwhelmed. As the saying goes, so much to do and so little time to do it! Still, that doesn't take away all the excitement that's been building up since June of last year. So, in this episode of Kanata's Castle, your hosts start to make a "to do" list for the awesomeness that is Star Wars Celebration. As Han Solo says when reboarding the Millennium Falcon in The Force Awakens, "Chewie, we're home!"
Recently, Todd Fisher, the brother of the late Carrie Fisher told Good Morning America that there's a lot of minutes of footage (of Carrie as Leia). This news is responsible for the training and creation of this next episode of Kanata's Castle. Ok, while that may seem a tad cliche, it's true, all of it. So hold on to the Force and get ready to pull yourself back in from the blast of this powerful episode, Like Father, Like Daughter: Leia's Return in Episode IX.
It's the year without a Star Wars! Ok, maybe that's not the whole truth, but it is the first Christmas without a Star Wars film since Disney took over. That said, Kanata's Castle is going to seize the moment and in true holiday fashion, reflect on the here and now as they look at The Last Jedi one year later.

In this episode, your hosts continue their endeavor of expounding upon the Women in the Star Wars universe. This time, they take a gander at the secret sorority of the "Queen's Shadows," the handmaidens, through a speculative lens. After all, it is still unclear how they came to be. How does one get elected into such an organization? Or, is it a birthright? So many questions and very little knowledge is up for the taking, but not knowing is half the fun. So, sidle-up to the bar and get yourself a cold one, then settle in for some exploratory conversation on the secret sorority of the Naboo Handmaidens.
It's that time of year again and the holidays are upon us. So, as the holidays kick off with Thanksgiving, Becca and Devon felt it was only appropriate to do the same, but adding a Star Wars twist to the mix. Both hosts do their best to give thanks to the galaxy far, far away and celebrate in a Star Wars Giving Feast!
In this episode, Becca and Devon talk all things Phasma! That's right, it's Phasma-first, and it's her way or the highway. Or rather, hyperspace way? Well, no matter, what matters is Phasma is a total powerhouse and an embodiment of empowerment for women everywhere. In other words, she's fiercely loyal, but to no one else but herself. Phasma-first with attitude!

A mirror reflects light. It reflects an image. A mirror produces an accurate representation of something else. A replica. Rey’s Reflections, in other words, Rey is a reminder of those that have come before: Han, Luke, Leia, and possibly, deeper down the line. She's a Reality Check for the Big 3, without her none of them would be able to connect again (not literally, but figuratively speaking) and come full-circle in their story.

Redemption is a continuous theme in Star Wars. But, is that trope getting old? Is it time for something new? After all, the Star Wars stories have evolved with the sequel trilogy, so maybe Kylo Ren is right? It's time to let old things die. Kill the past. To redeem or not to redeem, that is the question.

That's right, the "Whills," you read that correctly. Better hang on to your butts, these ladies are about to unleash the heavy.

Every situation is different. Every family dynamic is different. In turn, every family is different, yes, but yet we are the same. Parents. Parenting. Parenthood. None of it is easy. It doesn't matter what color your skin is. It doesn't matter what your orientation is. As parents, we all go through the trials and tribulations of raising our younglings as best as we can.
